2020 Workshop Retreat Investment: $4,500

(3-nights accommodations at Walla Walla’s renowned ABEJA INN are included)

June 4-6 - Spring Workshop

Sept. 24-26 - Fall Workshop

These seasonal workshops are designed for both aspiring and amateur florists who are wanting to develop and expand their skill set for more flexibility and creativity in their work. During this 3-day experience, we will delve into the art of floral and event design using exquisite blooms and foraged foliage from our farms in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere that sparks and inspires your creativity. Throughout the experience, we will create multiple elements of a beautiful tablescape, set for an event, highlighting the mechanics of design and technique to create hand-tied bouquets, focal arrangements, centerpieces, floral installations, and flat-lays. Each day we will have instruction and demonstration followed by hands-on sessions that will include an event set-up.

Bellaflora Farms is set amidst 25 bucolic acres in Walla Walla's Wine Country, offering a gorgeous pastoral setting tucked in amongst romantic vineyards and verdant woods along rambling Mill Creek. The gardens here are peppered with fragrant garden roses, lavender, peonies, wisteria, honeysuckle, dahlias and lush foliage providing the perfect setting to embark on a small foraging excursion throughout the grounds and gardens in addition to the loads of lush blooms that will be at the ready. You will experience an exclusive tour of this unique farm that began over a century ago.

As part of the workshop we will also touch on the business side of Floral & Event Design. Attendees will be provided with images of their work for portfolio and promotional use.

Lunch, snacks and drinks will be provided each day as well as a Welcome Dinner at Walla Walla's famed WHITEHOUSE CRAWFORD restaurant.

Farm owner and designer, Kerrie Flinders, has a passion for design spanning across multiple genres and loves to interweave the elements of nature, structure and architecture into a harmonious design. Her favorite style leans towards rustic European which comes through in her floral design, translating to lush, organic compositions.  She takes her desire for fostering and creating beauty and applies it to each of her respective  endeavors as owner and founder of Bellaflora Farms and CURATED EVENT.
